Dustin Brown, our main instructor, brings over 30 years of full-time farrier experience to the table. His extensive knowledge of shoeing all disciplines and working in top Equine Veterinary facilities sets our school apart. He has trained many successful farriers and has a unique talent for getting you under a live horse to trim and shoe with confidence from day one.

At Montana Horseshoeing School, we prioritize hands-on training. Dustin's expertise coupled with quality anatomy lessons ensure that our students leave confident in their abilities to trim and shoe horses. Many individuals have successfully completed their first full horse shoeing on the very first day of training, without any prior experience.

Our school is specially designed for the working person or ranch hand. We fit the needs of the working person by offering courses designed around your schedule. Our goal is to come to you and help you trim and shoe YOUR horse, at YOUR place, at YOUR pace.. However, if that is not an option, we have a place for you at our main facility.
